POSITION:
Project Manager - Construction Heavy Highway

LOCATION: Wisconsin

SUMMARY: Vinton Construction Company is seeking to fill an opening for an experienced Construction (Civil / Heavy Highway) Project Manager in Wisconsin. This position will plan, direct, coordinate, schedule, and assist in bidding construction projects to ensure that project goals and/or objectives are accomplished within the project constraints. The Project Manager will collaborate with Field Superintendents to oversee and direct all onsite administrative, operational, and technical aspects of assigned projects including labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractors. The Project Manager reports directly to the President and Vice-Presidents.

JOB SPECIFIC:

Work with Division Managers and Foremen to plan, organize and direct activities concerned with road and site construction projects.

Monitor and control project through administrative direction of on-site foremen to ensure project is completed on schedule and within budget.

Schedule work, equipment, personnel, materials and subcontractors to complete projects as efficiently and cost effectively as possible.

Initiate and maintain liaison with customers, owners and other contacts to facilitate project activities.

Interpret and explain plans and contract terms to administrative staff, workers and clients.

Troubleshoot and resolve problems within the project including coordinating with City, County and State Engineers, Private Owners, Subcontractors and Suppliers.

Manage all paperwork for assigned projects in a timely fashion: attain permits as need, pursue applicable change orders and submit and track payment requests.

Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Degree in Engineering and/or Construction Management preferred but not required.

Experience managing construction projects preferred but not required.

Strong quantitative, analytical, and organizational skills.

Self-Motivated' ability to work independently and with a team.

Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen.

Must perform all duties according to VCC's "SAFETY FIRST" requirement.
